Booking Options

If you would like to use our fish haulage service and have your fish collected, this can be arranged by speaking to the driver of the regular round-robin service, or by directly booking an individual pick-up in advance. Additionally, BTA can also arrange a pick up service for larger beam trawlers who may have landed their catch in other ports e.g. Plymouth,  Newlyn, Milford Haven, and Liverpool, and who might prefer their catch to be sold at the Brixham auction.

A service is also available to collect the catch from the hake boats down in the port of Newlyn.

Continued Investment in our Transport System

BTA have recently made a number of investments to improve the haulage and transport services we offer our customers.

A new 26 ton refrigerated lorry has just been acquired to continue to meet the needs of our growing collection service. The lorry is small enough to be able to navigate around the confines of the smaller ports but large enough to meet the needs of larger beam trawlers.

Reducing our Carbon Footprint

In addition, BTA has taken delivery of four new LPG operated, zero emission, forklift trucks to support the two electric pallets used on the fish market floor as part of our strategy to reduce our carbon footprint.

"Our members have the highest regard for BTA operations, putting quality of product over volume. Landing their catch after quite short voyages helps ensure the quality of fish on the Brixham market is the best possible."
